The strip of beach between the first rock wall on Noosa’s main beach, all the way up to the second rock wall and beyond into Noosa river mouth, is home to a bunch of peaky beach breaks. The banks shift around quite a bit, and further south often become one big long close-out, which the local bodyboarders flock to in bigger swells.
The rivermouth is usually good on 2-6 foot swell and south winds.
Most of the year round the swell is quite small here, so this is great place to learn to surf. Surf Schools seem to run here almost every day of the year.
