Sunshine Beach is a long South Easterly facing beach that tends to pick up a lot of swell. The northern corner is pretty reliable to avoid the summer northerly winds.
Sunshine holds up to 6 foot of swell, with plenty of left and right beachies to choose from all the way along the beach. It’s quite a long stretch of beach too, which means it’s ideal to avoid the crowds that are prevalent in nearby areas, such as Noosa National Park.
