One of several breaks which make up the famous point breaks of Noosa. This right-hand point break is a bit of a walk from the Noosa National Park carpark
This break holds a bit more size, and is a bit more challenging than some of the other point breaks Noosa has to offer. It still gets crowded as ever, but a couple of waves here will have you grinning from ear to ear. Long rolling right handers with the odd barrel to slot into. But when the cyclones come, so do the crowds…by the truckload!
Paddling out to the break can be a challenge when there is a lot of water moving around – you’ll need to do a bit of rock climbing and time your jump right or you’ll get rolled across the rocks like many others before you.
If you’re up for even more of a challenge, check out Granite Bay, the next break around the corner.
- No need for beach umbrellas at this place, there’s plenty of shade already available.
- There’s no showers on the shore at Tea Tree, so it’s best to use the ones out in the water.
