Rip Curl have outdone themselves with their latest promotional video effort. The vid was shot in Malaysia, in the Sunway Lagoon Wavepool, with the assistance of a jetski to tow Mick Fanning and Steph Gilmore into the mechanically-produced waves, and some rather awesome camera equipment, to capture the action from a revolutionary new perspective.
The end result is a Matrix-style 360 view of surfers busting out. This is new ground for the surf industry, and I daresay it will not be the last we see of it.
