Gremmie Skateboards – Art meets function

With the upcoming yearly I Used to Skate Once event happening in Brisbane next week, skate art is a hot topic right now.  I couldn’t help but ogle at square stylings of the Gremmie Skateboards decks, hand-shaped in Cali by Kevin Skibba.

With a unique beveled bottom,  a distinctly square tail, and a super sleek paint job, these boards really do push the boundaries between practicality and a piece of ride-able art that is so damn cool that it will never touch a footpath in lieu of being hung as a prize possession in your lounge room.

So, what do you reckon of these square boards by Gremmie…radness, or ridiculousness?

I own one and they skate as good as they look! Super sweet cruiser. So definitely radness. They are way too much fun to just hang on a wall, enjoy the artistic craftsmanship over the top of your sneakers as you feel the stoke from a great ride.

If they skate half as good as they look I’d be stoked. I might have to add one to my Christmas list, I think :)
