Indian Head is a wrapping point break over a sandy bottom. When the conditions are right it will bring a big smile to your face, as the rides are long and not too challenging to scare the wits out of you.
Indian Head is at the northern end of the 75 mile beach. Like most breaks on Fraser Island, it’s really only accessible in a 4WD. Indian Head is the rocky headland that anchors the sands that form Fraser Island.
For the non-surfers in your family, the Champagne Pools near Indian Head are naturally formed rock pools and are a great bathing experience, shielded from the surf.
