This is a reliable option if the main break of the area, Maroubra (just to the north), is maxed out.
Malabar offers a reef break and a left-handed point break, but requires some fairly decent swell to start breaking.
Like a lot of the reefs/points around here, the bottom of this break is rocky and dangerous, so be wary.
