Usually doesn’t get over 3 foot unless a serious low pressure system sits off the coast.
However, you’ll get the occasional fun and peaky beachbreak to yourself on this very long stretch of beach. The township is also very laid back, unlike the more hectic beaches as you travel south. A great holiday spot for the family, with the chance of scoring some small uncrowded waves.
Summer also brings the chance of cyclone swells. Unfortunately, it also frequently brings howling north-easterly winds.
